One Call Group does not perform trade or other services and is not the employer, agent or supervisor of any independent tradie. Any service contract is directly between the customer and the tradie they choose.
1. Our platform model
One Call Group is an online lead-generation and job-matching platform. We help customers describe a job and may introduce them to up to three independent tradies. We do not supply the requested trade or household service ourselves.
The tradie is the service provider and is responsible for their advertising, quote, contract, licence, insurance, safety, performance and consumer-law obligations. One Call Group is responsible for its own platform representations and matching service to the extent required by law.
2. Transparent information
We aim to describe our role, matching process and any platform charges clearly and not make false or misleading claims. Service-page price information is labelled as an estimate and does not replace a tradie's site-specific written quote. Promotional statements and user information should be read with the qualifications shown beside them.
3. Consumer guarantees
Services supplied to consumers may carry automatic guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services are provided with due care and skill, are fit for an agreed purpose and are supplied within a reasonable time where no time is set. These rights cannot be removed by a contract or platform disclaimer where the law applies.
For the trade work, those obligations generally sit with the independent tradie who contracts with the customer. For One Call Group's matching service and representations, applicable obligations remain with One Call Group.
4. Tradie responsibilities
Tradies using leads from the platform must accurately represent their identity, experience, availability and credentials; maintain required licences, registrations and insurance; provide lawful quotes and contracts; comply with safety and building requirements; protect customer information; and honour applicable consumer guarantees and remedies.
5. Customer verification checklist
A platform introduction is not a substitute for your own checks. Before work starts:
- verify the tradie's current licence using the relevant state or territory register;
- check their business name and ABN independently;
- ask for evidence of current public liability and any required home-building insurance;
- compare written, itemised quotes and confirm whether GST is included;
- check recent references relevant to similar work;
- use the written contract required for the type and value of work; and
- do not pay the full price upfront unless lawful and genuinely appropriate.
Licence classes, contract rules, insurance requirements and monetary thresholds vary by jurisdiction and can change. Check the current rules where the work will be performed.
6. Price guidance and quotes
Any price, cost range or example on this website is an estimation only and is not exact pricing. The selected tradie will assess the actual job and provide the final quote. Ask the tradie to confirm scope, exclusions, labour, materials, call-out charges, GST, variations, timing and payment terms in writing before agreeing to proceed.
7. Complaints and remedies
For workmanship, delay, damage, final pricing or the service contract, first contact the independent tradie and keep copies of the request, quote, contract, invoices, messages and photographs. For the matching process, website information or platform conduct, contact One Call Group at the address below.
If a matter is not resolved, you may contact the consumer-protection agency in your state or territory. NSW customers can contact NSW Fair Trading. The ACCC provides general information about Australian Consumer Law but does not resolve every individual dispute.
8. Reporting unsafe or misleading conduct
Tell us promptly if a platform user appears to have provided false credentials, engaged in misleading conduct, misused personal information or created a safety risk. We may review platform access or records, but any immediate danger, suspected crime or urgent safety issue should be reported directly to the appropriate emergency service or regulator.
